Cash is Money

Brian Cashman has always been criticized for spending the most money, they critique the fact that he has no home grown talent as the rest of the big clubs, and people have condemn 90% of his trades.

Despite that November 13, 2008 the Yankees traded for According to MLB Swisher, 27, came to New York in exchange for utility infielder Wilson Betemit and Minor League pitchers Jeff Marquez and Jhonny Nunez. The Yankees also received Minor League reliever Kanekoa Texeira from the White Sox.

That might be the best trade Cash has made in the last 5 years. Swisher has been great for the Yankees not to mention great for Baseball and the fans.

This year when the Yankees clinch the east and win number 27, many will not give Cash his due, if you hate him when things are going bad then cheer him when he makes a great trade like this.

Ohhh and by the way! ESPENS Baseball General Manager always points out that the yanks are not home grown.

He is 100% correct (in his little mind) Mr. Phillips this year not all the talent is home grown. The poor Yankees have no home grown players? If you don't count Jeter, Posada, Mariano and Andy.
